The Colorado River Land Trust Board of Directors is made up of six members - three members of the LCRA Board of Directors and three members of the public. All members must live in or own land in the Colorado River basin. CRLT currently is filling two of the four public Board member positions.

Tim Timmerman

Tim Timmerman, President

Timothy T. Timmerman is chair of the LCRA Board of Directors. He is a real estate investor/developer and owns Commerce Texas Properties, Inc. He developed the Star Ranch Community and Golf Course north of Austin. He is a certified public accountant and holds a Texas real estate broker's license. He is a member of the Board of Directors and chairman of the Audit Committee for Citizens, Inc., a New York Stock Exchange company. He serves on the Board for the Round Rock Community Foundation and also serves on the Board of St. David's Medical Center in Round Rock. Timmerman received a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University and a master's degree from The University of Texas at Austin.

 

Steve K. Balas

Steve K. Balas, Vice President

Steve K. Balas is on the LCRA Board of Directors. He is a pharmacist and owner of Eagle Lake Drugstore Inc. He also owns and manages a rice farm in Eagle Lake. Balas is a member of the Lower Colorado Regional Water Planning Group for the state's Region K water planning area and a past Board member of the Texas Rice Producers Association and the U.S. Rice Producers Association. He is a Board member of the First National Bank of Eagle Lake and a past advisory director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. He also serves on the boards of the Rice Medical Foundation, the David and Eula Wintermann Foundation of Eagle Lake, and United Drugs, a national pharmacy cooperative. He received a bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of the Tributary League of the Colorado River Foundation.

Thomas Michael Martine

Thomas Michael Martine, Secretary/Treasurer

Tom Martine is the secretary of the Board of Directors for LCRA. He is president of Martine Properties, Inc. He is also a member of the Austin Commercial Real Estate Society, Real Estate Council of Austin, Austin Apartment Association and Westcave Preserve Committee, Texas Wildlife Association, Austin Woods and Waters, and the Tributary League of the Colorado River Foundation. He received his bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at Austin. He also serves on the Boy Scouts and Seton League House Board of Directors.

 

Meredith Cullen

Meredith T. Cullen, Board of Directors

Meredith Cullen is founder and CEO of Cullen Realty Group and part of the H. R. Cullen family, whose members have lived in the Houston community for more than 100 years. He is vice president and a board member for RHC Operating Company and also serves of the boards of The Cullen Foundation, Pro-Vision Inc., the Baylor Medical Foundation Board and the Houston Area Parkinson's Society. He is a former advisory board member for the Legacy Trust Company. He proudly served in the Marine Corps Reserves, and he continues to support veteran's causes.

 

Jack Johnson

Jack Johnson, Board of Directors

Jack Johnson is a managing partner of Wintermann and Company and president of the David and Eula Wintermann Foundation, both located in Eagle Lake. He is a member of the board of directors and chairman of the Compensation Committee of Team Inc., an international industrial services company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Johnson is also a member of the board of directors of Security State Bank of Anahuac and a member of the board of the National Association of Corporate Directors. Johnson served as a director and chairman of the board of the Lower Colorado River Authority, chairman of the board of North Houston Bank and director of Houston National Bank. He also served as chairman of The University of Texas School of Nursing Development Board, director of the YMCA of Houston and director of the University Club of Houston. Johnson is a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show. He received his bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University.

Ray Wilkerson

Ray Wilkerson, Board of Directors

Ray Wilkerson is the president and CEO of Ray Wilkerson Companies, Inc., a real estate investment firm. He is also the chairman of the Central Texas Regional Mobility Commission, a Board member of Colorado River Foundation Tributary League Endowment and a founder and Board member of the HeartGift Foundation. He is also vice chancellor of Knights of the Symphony and life member of the Austin Travis County Livestock Show. Wilkerson is former chairman of the Lower Colorado River Authority. He served as vice-chair of the Texas Rehabilitation Commission. He received a bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
